A final musical title will be announced September 1.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Founded in 1962, Pioneer Theatre Company has grown into one of the region\u2019s leading professional theatres. A recent Broadway hit, the play follows five teenage girls in a small town as they challenge the narratives they\u2019ve inherited and question who controls the truth. Fierce, funny, and sharply contemporary, the work explores power, perspective, and female friendship with urgency and wit.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From <\/span><b>October 23\u2013November 7, 2026,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> PTC stages <\/span><b><i>Little Shop of Horrors<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at <\/span><b>Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, arriving just in time for Halloween. With music by <\/span><b>Alan Menken<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and lyrics by <\/span><b>Howard Ashman<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the cult-favorite musical tells the story of a struggling flower shop clerk who discovers a carnivorous plant with a taste for human blood. Featuring beloved songs such as \u201cSuddenly Seymour\u201d and \u201cSomewhere That\u2019s Green,\u201d this devilishly delightful production remains one of musical theatre\u2019s most enduring crowd-pleasers. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Little Shop of Horrors<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be presented as a co-production with <\/span><b>Arizona Theatre Company.<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PTC\u2019s holiday offering is <\/span><b><i>The Man Who Came to Dinner<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by <\/span><b>Moss Hart <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>George S. Kaufman <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><b>December 4\u201319, 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Meldrum Theatre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">). The fast-paced comedy centers on an acerbic radio personality whose extended stay in a Midwestern home throws the household into comic disarray. A staple of the American canon, the play delivers rapid-fire dialogue and holiday-season charm.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new year begins with the Utah Professional Premiere of <\/span><b><i>Mean Girls<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><b>January 29\u2013February 13, 2027<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">). Featuring a book by <\/span><b>Tina Fey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, music by <\/span><b>Jeff Richmond<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and lyrics by <\/span><b>Nell Benjamin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the Broadway hit musical follows newcomer Cady Heron as she navigates the ruthless social hierarchy of high school. Smart, satirical, and pop-driven, the production brings contemporary edge to the season lineup.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Next is the Utah Premiere of <\/span><b><i>Eureka Day<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by <\/span><b>Jonathan Spector <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><b>March 12\u201327, 2027<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Meldrum Theatre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">). Winner of the 2025 Tony Award for Best Revival, the satire is set at a progressive Berkeley private school where a mumps outbreak ignites debate over vaccines, personal freedom, and misinformation. The play\u2019s pointed humor and timely subject matter underscore the season\u2019s focus on stories that examine today\u2019s cultural landscape.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 65th Season will conclude with <\/span><b>a major musical production at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre from April 30\u2013May 15, 2027<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><b>The title will be revealed September 1, 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and is positioned as a capstone to the anniversary year. It should be noted that PTC is offering the opportunity to those who subscribe to swap their tickets for this yet-to-be-announced title to another title for the season (once the TBA title is announced).<\/span><\/p><p><b>SEASON TICKETS <\/b><b><i><br \/><\/i><\/b><b>Season tickets to the 2026\/2027 Pioneer Theatre Company Season will be made available to new and returning subscribers <\/b><b>beginning Monday, March 16, 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In addition to a <\/span><b>Full-6 Subscription<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, PTC will offer patrons the chance to <\/span><b>build their own season subscription<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014allowing for customizable <\/span><b>Pick-4<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Pick-3<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> packages. A tiered discount system will make tickets cheaper based on the volume of tickets purchased. PTC will also continue to offer a special half-price <\/span><b>Senior Subscription<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (good for a Full-6 package exclusive to Saturday matinee performances).
