word-spacing: var( --e-global-typography-007dfe5-word-spacing );\"><b>Karen Azenberg<br \/><\/b>Musical Direction by<b> Phil Reno<\/b><\/span><\/p><div><p class=\"p1\">When the world stood still on 9\/11, an unexpected resilience unfolded in a remote Canadian town. <em>Come From Away<\/em>, a powerful and uplifting musical based on true events, tells the story of 38 diverted flights carrying nearly 7,000 passengers who found themselves stranded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. Undaunted by logistics and language barriers, the people of Gander welcomed the stranded travelers into their community with open arms, recognizing that we\u2019re all part of a global family.<\/p><\/div><h4>Rehearsals run:<\/h4><p>Monday \u2013 Saturday: Up to eight hours daily (with a break) between the hours of 10:00AM and 8:00PM<\/p><p>Additional hours will be added for Technical Rehearsals beginning April 17.<\/p><p>This audition is for local Actors. When she finds out he is safe, she\u2019s given a new lease on life and discovers a wilder more carefree side of herself. Contemporary soprano or mezzo with strong mix up to a D.<\/p><p><strong>HANNAH &amp; OTHERS:<\/strong> (Female identifying, 30s\u201350s) Mother of a firefighter in Manhattan, HANNAH waits for news about her son and is comforted by Beulah. Contemporary soprano with strong high mix up to E.<\/p><p><strong>JANICE &amp; OTHERS:<\/strong> (Female identifying, 20s) Eager new local TV reporter, Janice is thrown into the deep end on her first day. Initially naive about the world, Janice must face the pain and confusion around her. Contemporary soprano with strong belt and mix up to E.<\/p><p><strong>BEULAH &amp; OTHERS:<\/strong> (Female identifying, 40s\u201360s) Head of the Gander Legion, with a firefighter son, she befriends Hannah and walks to church and prays with her. Quick-witted and open hearted, Beulah loves to share a joke. Mezzo w\\ strong belt up to B.<\/p><p><strong>BONNIE &amp; OTHERS:<\/strong> (Female identifying, 30s\u201350s) A no\u2013nonsense mother of 3, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety. When the town\u2019s population suddenly doubles, Oz helps out in unexpected ways. Inspired by the town\u2019s generosity, Kevin creates the \u2018Pay It Forward Foundation.\u2019 High Tenor up to G.<\/p><p><strong>KEVIN J. &amp; OTHERS:<\/strong> (Male identifying, 30s\u201340s) Kevin\u2019s boyfriend and secretary.
