Pioneer Theatre Company presents Noises Off<\/em> by Michael Frayn<\/strong>, running December 5\u201320, 2025<\/strong>, at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Called \u201cthe funniest farce ever written,\u201d Noises Off<\/em> takes audiences behind the scenes (and then back onstage) with a troupe of eccentric actors attempting to stage a farce of their own\u2014complete with slamming doors, missing sardines, and comedic catastrophe at every turn.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no business like show business? Often hailed as one of the greatest farces ever written, Noises Off sees onstage antics collide with backstage hijinx\u2014in a zany tribute to \u201ctheatre-people\u201d everywhere. And as hard as it may be to believe, Noises Off has not been seen at PTC for nearly 20 years! Join us this holiday season for a healthy dose of slamming doors, backstage drama, and a rogue plate of sardines. This brilliantly-crafted comedy delivers non-stop laughter and classic theatrical mayhem!<\/em><\/p>\n

The cast features PTC alumni Rhett Guter<\/strong>* (PTC’s White Christmas,<\/em> Annie <\/em>National Tour) as Garry LeJeune; Robert Mammana*<\/strong> (PTC’s Prayer for the French Republic<\/em>, Broadway’s Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em>) as Lloyd Dallas; David Manis<\/strong>* (PTC’s Clybourne Park, <\/em>Broadway’s To Kill a Mockingbird<\/em>) as Selsdon Mowbray, Linda Mugleston<\/strong>* (PTC’s Souvenir<\/em>, Broadway’s The Music Man<\/em>) as Dotty Otley; and Kilty Reidy<\/strong>* (PTC’s The Music Man, <\/em>Broadway’s The Drowsy Chaperone<\/em>) as Tim Allgood.<\/p>\n

Making their PTC debuts are Terence Archie*<\/strong> (Broadway’s Company<\/em> and Ragtime<\/em>) as Frederic Fellowes; Sarah Marie Joyce*<\/strong> (Normalcy<\/em> at Playwright’s Horizons) as Belinda Blair; and Olivia Kaufmann*<\/strong> (Broadway’s Mean Girls<\/em>) as Brooke Ashton.<\/p>\n

Avneet Kaur Sandhu<\/strong>, currently a senior in the University of Utah Actor Training Program and a 2025-2026 PTC Intern, plays Poppy Norton-Taylor.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Creative Team<\/strong><\/h3>

The production is directed by Shelley Butler <\/strong>(PTC’s Christmas in Connecticut<\/em>), with scenic design by Paige Hathaway <\/strong>(PTC’s Fireflies<\/em>), costume design by Mariko Ohigashi <\/strong>(SUMO<\/em> at The Public Theater), lighting design by Aaron Spivey <\/strong>(PTC’s\u00a0The Rocky Horror Show)<\/em>, and sound design by Bryce Robinette <\/strong>(PTC’s Souvenir<\/em>). Kate Casalino\u00a0<\/strong>(PTC’s Beautiful: The Carole King Musical<\/em>) serves as Wig, Hair, and Make-up Designer; Stacey Jenson\u00a0<\/strong>(The Rivals<\/em> for University of Utah’s Department of Theatre) is Dialect Coach; Will Van Dyke\u00a0<\/strong>(PTC’s upcoming world premiere of Ten Brave Seconds<\/em>)\u00a0is Composer; David Christopher DuVal\u00a0<\/strong>(PTC’s Sweat<\/em>) is Fight Director; and Alexandra Harbold<\/strong> (PTC’s Prayer for the French Republic<\/em>) serves as Intimacy Coordinator.
