Pioneer Theatre Company presents the Utah premiere of Dear Evan Hansen<\/em>\u00a0<\/i><\/strong>from October 24-November 8, 2025. <\/strong>Winner of six Tony Awards, the musical features a book by Steven Levenson <\/b>and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek<\/strong> and Justin Paul.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>

Evan Hansen has always felt like he\u2019s on the outside looking in, his severe anxiety making it hard to connect. But when tragedy strikes his community, he unexpectedly finds himself at the heart of a growing misunderstanding\u2014one that offers him a chance to reinvent himself.\u00a0Dear Evan Hansen<\/em>, winner of both Tony and Olivier Awards for Best Musical, is a deeply moving and timely coming-of-age story about vulnerability and the longing for connection.<\/p>

Leading the cast is PTC newcomer Kyle Dalsimer*<\/strong> (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat<\/span><\/i> at Ivoryton Playhouse, <\/span>Ride the Cyclone<\/span><\/i> at <\/span>Arena Stage<\/span>) as Evan Hansen. He is joined by PTC alumni Jordan Briggs*<\/strong> (PTC’s Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,<\/em> Hart Theatre Company’s The Beauty Queen of Leenane<\/em>) as Connor Murphy and Khadija Sankoh*<\/strong> (PTC’s recent insider reading of Ten Brave Seconds, <\/em>Off-Broadway’s Little Shop of Horrors<\/em>) as Alana Beck.<\/p>

Making their PTC debuts are Marika Aubrey*\u00a0<\/b>(Royal Shakespeare Company\u2019s Australian production of <\/span>Matilda the Musical,\u00a0<\/span><\/i>Lincoln Center’s South Pacific<\/em> at Sydney Opera House) as Cynthia Murphy; Elyse Bell* <\/strong>(Don\u2019t Say Good Luck<\/i> on Netflix, Queens<\/i> on ABC) as Zoe Murphy; Andrew Samonsky*<\/strong> (Broadway’s Lempika, The Mystery of Edwin Drood)<\/em> as Larry Murphy; Larry Saperstein*\u00a0<\/strong>(High School Musical: The Musical: The Series<\/i> on Disney+) as Jared Kleinman; and Donna Vivino* <\/strong>(Broadway’s Wicked<\/em>, Young Cosette in the original cast of Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em>) as Heidi Hansen.<\/span><\/p>

<\/b>Rounding out the company are ensemble and virtual community members Rachel Johnson <\/b>and Adam Moore.<\/strong> Additionally, a digital-only virtual community will be comprised of Mary Fanning Driggs*<\/strong>, Nathan Andrew Riley*<\/strong>, Ariana Bagley<\/strong>, Kaden Conrad<\/strong>, and Hannah Rich<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
