A powerful true story of community, connection, and compassion closes PTC’s 25/26 season

[SALT LAKE CITY, UT APRIL 2, 2026] — Pioneer Theatre Company, Utah’s premier professional theatre in residence at the University of Utah, is proud to announce the Cast and Creative Team for the Utah Premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away, with book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein. The production is directed and choreographed by PTC Artistic Director Karen Azenberg. Musical direction is by Phil Reno.

When the world stood still on 9/11, an unexpected resilience unfolded in a remote Canadian town. Come From Away, a powerful and uplifting musical based on true events, tells the story of 38 diverted flights carrying nearly 7,000 passengers who found themselves stranded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. Undaunted by logistics and language barriers, the people of Gander welcomed the stranded travelers into their community with open arms, recognizing that we’re all part of a global family. Don’t miss PTC’s “guaranteed-to-restore-your-faith-in-humanity” Utah premiere!

“Pioneer Theatre Company is proud to present the Utah premiere of Come From Away, a powerful story about community, generosity, and how people come together in difficult moments,” said Karen Azenberg. “This production brings together an outstanding ensemble of Broadway powerhouses and PTC alumni who work seamlessly to tell this story with honesty and heart. It’s a show that resonates in a very real way with audiences today and reminds us of our shared humanity—something that feels especially needed right now. We’re proud to close our season with a piece that feels both timely and deeply human.”

John Proctor Is the Villain

Utah Professional Premiere

by Kimberly Belflower

September 11-26, 2026
Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre
Play

A fierce, funny play about teenage girls rewriting the rules—and reclaiming their own stories.

Fueled by earbuds full of pop anthems, sheer determination, and a simmering sense of justice, five teenage girls are ready to confront the buried truths hiding in their small, single-stoplight town. A recent Broadway hit from playwright Kimberly Belflower, this bold, sharp-witted, and fiercely relevant play reexamines the stories we inherit and asks who gets to define what’s true — delivering a work that’s as entertaining as it is essential.

“A poignant story of girlhood and empowering friendships.”
Entertainment Weekly

“A bold contemporary reexamination of who gets to tell the story.”

Feed the plant…if you dare.

Based on the 1960 low budget Roger Corman horror movie (starring Jack Nicholson!), this cult classic musical is a perennial favorite and is currently enjoying a hugely successful Off-Broadway revival in New York. Little Shop of Horrors is the story of a beleaguered flower shop assistant who discovers a strange carnivorous plant that thrives on (gulp) human blood! With a score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman (of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid fame) and featuring hit songs like “Somewhere That’s Green,” “Suddenly Seymour,” as well as the title song, it’s a monster hit!

“A cult classic of camp, horror and catchy tunes in equal measure.”
Rotten Tomatoes

The Man Who Came to Dinner Text

The Man Who Came to Dinner

by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman

December 4-19, 2026
Meldrum Theatre at the Einar Nielsen Field House
Play

A fast-talking comedy stuffed with chaos, charm, and holiday cheer.

When famously acerbic radio personality Sheridan Whiteside slips on an icy doorstep and finds himself convalescing in a respectable Ohio home just before Christmas, he quickly turns polite holiday hospitality into full-blown pandemonium. As friends, eccentrics, aspiring actors, and assorted hangers-on descend upon the house, Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s The Man Who Came to Dinner unfolds into a whirlwind of sharp wit, romantic entanglements, and delightfully outsized characters. A true classic of American comedy, it’s a brisk, laugh-filled holiday treat with just the right touch of mischief.

“It is one of the funniest plays in the American theatre…this masterpiece stands above the rest for its mix of great comedic dialogue, exhilarating characters, and clever plotting.”
Stage and Cinema

“A rip-roaring comedy for the holidays!”

She soon falls prey to the school’s three “frenemies,” led by the ruthless Regina George. But when Cady tries to end Regina’s reign of popularity, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.

Eureka Day Text

Eureka Day

Utah Premiere

by Jonathan Spector

March 12-27, 2027
Meldrum Theatre at the Einar Nielsen Field House
Play

A sly satire about a community determined to agree—no matter the cost.

Fresh from Broadway, this uproariously funny drama is set in Berkeley, California’s ultra-progressive Eureka Day School, where every decision is made by consensus. But when a mumps outbreak hits, the school’s carefully cultivated culture of inclusiveness spirals into chaos. As parents and board members clash over vaccines, personal freedoms, and viral misinformation, a community built on open-minded ideals implodes.  Wildly relevant and bitingly funny, this 2025 Tony Award-winning satire tackles one of the defining questions of our time: how do you build consensus when no one can agree on the truth?

“An invigorating shot in the arm.”
Time Out

“Sharp and infectiously funny”

2026–2027 lineup includes John Proctor Is the Villain, Mean Girls, Eureka Day, and more
Pioneer Theatre Company's 65th Season 2026-2027 with season artwork

[SALT LAKE CITY, UT, MARCH 13, 2026] — Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC), Utah’s premier professional theatre company in residence at the University of Utah, has announced its 2026–2027 lineup, marking the organization’s 65th Season with a slate that blends contemporary premieres, Broadway hits, and a classic American comedy. A final musical title will be announced September 1.

Founded in 1962, Pioneer Theatre Company has grown into one of the region’s leading professional theatres. The landmark 2026–2027 season reflects both that legacy and the company’s ongoing evolution as it enters its seventh decade.

“We’re proud to celebrate PTC’s 65th Season—one that reflects both where theatre is right now and the classics that continue to shape it,” said Artistic Director Karen Azenberg. “This year brings the urgent, contemporary perspectives of John Proctor Is the Villain and Eureka Day, the sharp-edged comedy of Mean Girls, and the enduring wit of Little Shop of Horrors and The Man Who Came to Dinner. Together, these plays and musicals offer humor, insight, and a fresh look at familiar stories. And we’re not done yet—a major title will be announced this fall.”

PTC opens the anniversary season with the Utah Professional Premiere of John Proctor Is the Villain by Kimberly Belflower (September 11–26, 2026, Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre). A recent Broadway hit, the play follows five teenage girls in a small town as they challenge the narratives they’ve inherited and question who controls the truth. Fierce, funny, and sharply contemporary, the work explores power, perspective, and female friendship with urgency and wit.

From October 23–November 7, 2026, PTC stages Little Shop of Horrors at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, arriving just in time for Halloween. With music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman, the cult-favorite musical tells the story of a struggling flower shop clerk who discovers a carnivorous plant with a taste for human blood. Featuring beloved songs such as “Suddenly Seymour” and “Somewhere That’s Green,” this devilishly delightful production remains one of musical theatre’s most enduring crowd-pleasers. Little Shop of Horrors will be presented as a co-production with Arizona Theatre Company.

PTC’s holiday offering is The Man Who Came to Dinner by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman (December 4–19, 2026, Meldrum Theatre). The fast-paced comedy centers on an acerbic radio personality whose extended stay in a Midwestern home throws the household into comic disarray. A staple of the American canon, the play delivers rapid-fire dialogue and holiday-season charm.

The new year begins with the Utah Professional Premiere of Mean Girls (January 29–February 13, 2027, Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre). Featuring a book by Tina Fey, music by Jeff Richmond, and lyrics by Nell Benjamin, the Broadway hit musical follows newcomer Cady Heron as she navigates the ruthless social hierarchy of high school. Smart, satirical, and pop-driven, the production brings contemporary edge to the season lineup.

Next is the Utah Premiere of Eureka Day by Jonathan Spector (March 12–27, 2027, Meldrum Theatre). Winner of the 2025 Tony Award for Best Revival, the satire is set at a progressive Berkeley private school where a mumps outbreak ignites debate over vaccines, personal freedom, and misinformation. The play’s pointed humor and timely subject matter underscore the season’s focus on stories that examine today’s cultural landscape.

The 65th Season will conclude with a major musical production at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre from April 30–May 15, 2027. The title will be revealed September 1, 2026, and is positioned as a capstone to the anniversary year. It should be noted that PTC is offering the opportunity to those who subscribe to swap their tickets for this yet-to-be-announced title to another title for the season (once the TBA title is announced).

“This upcoming 65th Season reflects the renewed energy and focus we’ve built through our new strategic plan,” said PTC Managing Director Adrian Budhu. “We have put together a compelling lineup that reinforces Pioneer Theatre Company’s place as one of the leading regional theatres—bringing Broadway-level work to our stage while staying deeply connected to our community. We will continue to expand access through flexible subscriptions, PTClub for younger patrons, and Curtain Call for All, and we’re continuing to grow as both the University of Utah’s professional theatre and a cultural home for Salt Lake City. Above all, we hope audiences continue to see PTC as their theatre home—a welcoming place where everyone belongs. There’s real momentum here, and we’re excited to share it.”

Eureka Day – Utah Premiere
by Jonathan Spector

PIONEER THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS KING JAMES BY PULITZER PRIZE FINALIST RAJIV JOSEPH https://pioneertheatre.org/pioneer-theatre-company-presents-king-james-by-pulitzer-prize-finalist-rajiv-joseph/ Tue, 24 Feb 2026 15:00:14 +0000 https://pioneertheatre.org/?p=59611
PTC stages the Utah professional premiere of the acclaimed comedy celebrating friendship, loyalty, and basketball.

in[SALT LAKE CITY, UT FEBRUARY 24, 2026] — Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC), Utah’s premier professional theatre company in residence at the University of Utah, presents the Utah professional premiere of King James in the Meldrum Theatre at Einar Nielsen Field House from March 20-April 4. The acclaimed comedy, written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph, is described as follows:

LeBron James isn’t just a basketball superstar—he was Cleveland’s hero. As one of the greatest players in NBA history, his impact on the city was undeniable throughout his years on the court there. In King James, Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo) crafts a funny and deeply poignant story about two friends whose lives are forever shaped by their shared devotion to their idol. Exploring the power of sports, loyalty, and human connection, King James brings the spirit of athleticism back to the Einar Nielsen Field House.

“There’s something especially meaningful about producing King James at the Meldrum Theatre, inside the space that once served as the University of Utah’s field house,” said Artistic Director Karen Azenberg. “It’s the perfect setting for a play that centers on basketball—but even more so on friendship. This is a smart, funny, and deeply relatable story about things that bring people together—in this case, LeBron James. We’re proud to have assembled a stellar cast and creative team of accomplished professionals to bring this production to life for our audiences.”

King James captures something essential about how shared passions—whether for a basketball team or a singular moment in time—shape our relationships and our sense of belonging,” added Managing Director Adrian Budhu. “At Pioneer Theatre Company, we believe theatre should feel like a home for our community: a place where stories spark connection, conversation, and reflection.”

Cast Features Tony Nominee John Cariani and Broadway Alumni Will Blum, Luke Kolbe Mannikus, and Carson Stewart

[SALT LAKE CITY, UT JANUARY 8, 2026] — Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC), Utah’s premier professional theatre company in residence at the University of Utah, presents the world premiere of Ten Brave Seconds from January 30-February 14, 2026. The production, with music & lyrics by Will Van Dyke and book & lyrics by Jeff Talbott, is described by the authors as follows:

One day can change everything if you pay attention. And Mike is certainly looking for something to change. He and his family are finding their way the best they can on a new and rocky road. Mike has also been sitting on something about himself that he’s been waiting to say, but he’s got a thing or two to find out first. What he is learning is that in order to step into his community, he’s going to have to be brave and join in. And today’s the day. Ten Brave Seconds is a vibrant and heartfelt new musical for everybody that all takes place on one day in the life of an American teenager that will open your eyes and recalibrate your heart.

“We have spent almost seven years crafting the story of Mike and his family, and the fact that we now get to share it with audiences alongside our artistic family at Pioneer Theatre Company makes us the luckiest writers in the world,” Van Dyke and Talbott provided in a joint statement. “As writers, we are very committed to making theatre that opens channels to both feeling and talking, and getting to start that conversation in a production created for the Utah audience is thrilling. Using pop music as a gateway to emotion is something we passionately believe in, and we cannot wait to open our hearts with PTC’s audiences.”

“Pioneer Theatre Company is thrilled to present the world premiere of Ten Brave Seconds, written by two of PTC’s most treasured collaborating artists: Will Van Dyke and Jeff Talbott. From the moment I read the script, I knew this story needed a spotlight in our community,” said PTC Artistic Director Karen Azenberg. “As a theatre company, we at PTC have a responsibility to champion new voices and develop original works that move the American Theatre forward. By bringing new stories to the stage, we help expand the canon and ensure the art form remains vibrant, relevant, and responsive to the world around us.”

“For a long time, stories like the one portrayed in Ten Brave Seconds were rarely shared onstage. This production is not only a prime example of PTC’s commitment to developing new work, but also a powerful reminder that when authentic lived experiences are placed at the center of the story, they create recognition, belonging, and courage—and that visibility can be life-changing,” adds PTC Managing Director Adrian Budhu.

CAST & CREATIVE

Meet the Cast and Creative Team for the World Premiere of TEN BRAVE SECONDS https://pioneertheatre.org/ten-brave-seconds-cast-creative/ Tue, 16 Dec 2025 15:00:14 +0000 https://pioneertheatre.org/?p=58930

Pioneer Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Ten Brave Seconds from January 30-February 14, 2026. The production, with music & lyrics by Will Van Dyke and book & lyrics by Jeff Talbott, is described as follows:

Mike is having a very big day. He’s been holding onto a secret for awhile, and today his secret is totally coming out. It’s also a big day for the country – huge decisions are being made all over, and at the center of it is one family teetering on the brink of…everything. Ten Brave Seconds is a bright and vital new musical, infused with infectious pop melodies and rooted in a big-hearted examination of one day in the life of a kid, a family, and a community stepping bravely from the dark unknown into the daylight together.

The Cast

Reprising their roles from PTC’s Fall 2025 insider reading of Ten Brave Seconds are Tony Award Nominee John Cariani* (Broadway’s Fiddler on the Roof; Caroline, or Change; The Band’s Visit) as Mr. G. and Carson Stewart* (Broadway’s The Notebook) as Mike. Both actors make their PTC mainstage debuts with this production.

They are joined by Will Blum* (Broadway’s Beetlejuice, Torch Song) as Carl;  Luke Kolbe Mannikus* (Broadway’s Matilda, Pippin) as Tim; Jessica Money* (Spelling Bee at Arden Theatre Co., The Color Purple at Theatre Horizon) as Gabby; and Heidi Farber (Medea at the Salt Lake Greek Theater Festival, Sweeney Todd at the Grand) as Becky.

The ensemble is comprised of Nick Eibler* (Broadway’s The Prom); Zachary Daniel Jones* (Broadway’s Gypsy, Wicked); PTC alum Jalen Michael Jones* (PTC’s The Prom, Bye Bye Birdie at The Kennedy Center); Laura Leo Kelly* (West Side Story International Tour, Regency Girls at The Old Globe); and PTC alum Jordan Cruz (PTC’s Jersey Boys, Waitress).

Harrison Timm, a senior in the University of Utah’s Actor Training Program; and Sydney Rudel and Ella Mei Williamson—both seniors in the U’s Musical Theatre Program—join the production’s ensemble as 2025-2026 Season PTC Interns. Ariana Bagley and Kaden Conrad will serve as swings.

The Creative Team

Both Will Van Dyke and Jeff Talbott are alumni of PTC—Van Dyke was the composer of incidental scores for Noises Off, The Lehman Trilogy, Ass, i, and The Messenger. Talbott has been featured both onstage (The Lehman Trilogy, Oslo, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Doubt, and The Odd Couple) and as playwright of the PTC world premieres of i and The Messenger. Together, they have written the musicals fuzzy, Imagine Harry, Wintersong, Seven Broken Hearts, and The Circle and the Wheel.

Ellie Heyman, who helmed the PTC Insider Reading of Ten Brave Seconds as well as the recent world premiere of Van Dyke and Talbott’s fuzzy at Barrington Stage, directs Ten Brave Seconds. Other credits include: (Still) Asking For It (The Public Theater); Space Dogs (MCC); ThisTree (Prototype); Dinner with Georgette (New York Theater Workshop, Next Door); Jason Craig & Dave Malloy’s Beardo (Drama Desk Award Nomination; Pipeline Theater) Erin Markey: Boner Killer (Under the Radar/The Public Theater); and Becca Blackwell’s They, Themself and Schmerm (Under the Radar/The Public Theater).

Reed Luplau serves as Choreographer for Ten Brave Seconds. A graduate of the Australian Ballet School, his choreography has been featured in productions including Spring Awakening (Skylight), Head Over Heels (Australia), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Santa Fe Opera), and events such as PHISH at Madison Square Garden and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Additional credits include work for The Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, and West Australian Ballet.

Patrick Sulken serves as Music Supervisor, having music directed the world premiere of fuzzy. Other credits include music direction of Broadway’s Pretty Woman: The Musical and Trisha Paytas’ Big Broadway Dream; Off-Broadway’s Little Shop of Horrors, Teeth, and We Are the Tigers.

Rounding out the Creative Team are Scenic Designer James Noone (PTC/ATC’s Dial M for Murder, Broadway’s Sunset Boulevard); Costume Designer Brenda Van der Wiel (PTC’s Jersey Boys, Sweeney Todd); Lighting Designer José Santiago (PTC’s Prayer for the French Republic, Bonnie & Clyde); Sound Designer Aaron Hubbard (PTC’s Dear Evan Hansen, Sweeney Todd), and Hair & Makeup Designer Kate Casalino (PTC’s Noises Off, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical). Karen Azenberg, Artistic Director

Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Step into the holiday spirit with Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, a whimsical musical adapted from the beloved children’s classic. Featuring new festive favorites like “This Time of Year,” “Santa for a Day,” and the iconic “Fah Who Doraze” from the treasured animated special, this family-friendly production brings the snow-covered world of Whoville to life—right down to the last can of Who-hash.

Hadestown

The winner of 8 Tony awards including best musical, this wildly successful musical has enjoyed an extended Broadway run and is based on the Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone. Set in a post-apocalyptic Depression era America, it explores many themes including doubt versus faith, love versus fear, and perseverance. Truly a musical for today.

Jesus Christ Superstar

Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, this rock opera was the second collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christ’s life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers, and the Roman Empire. The show features hits like “Superstar,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” and “Gethsemane” that all mix 1970’s rock with gospel, folk, and funk. It’s a global phenomenon that has wowed audiences for decades.

Little Shop of Horrors

Based on the 1960 low budget Roger Corman horror movie (starring Jack Nicholson!), this cult classic musical is a perennial favorite and is currently enjoying a hugely successful Off Broadway revival in New York. Little Shop of Horrors is the story of a beleaguered flower shop assistant who discovers a strange carnivorous plant that thrives on (gulp) human blood! With a score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman (of Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid fame) and featuring hit songs like “Somewhere That’s Green,” “Suddenly Seymour,” as well as the title song. Great campy fun!

Mean Girls

Mean Girls is the hilarious musical from an award-winning creative team, most notably book writer Tina Fey (30 Rock). It is the story of Cady Heron, the new girl at North Shore High School, desperate to fit in and find friends. She soon falls prey to the school’s three “frenemies,” led by the ruthless Regina George. But when Cady tries to end Regina’s reign of popularity, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung. Not only was this show originally adapted from Fey’s hit 2004 film, but this musical version was also just recently turned into its own musical feature film.

The Pajama Game

Talk about a classic!! The Pajama Game originally played on Broadway in 1954, and boasted a creative team of stars, direction by George Abbot and Jerome Robbins and choreography by Bob Fosse. It is about a 7 ½-cent salary dispute in a pajama factory and, as is true of most musicals, has a charming love story as well. Singing and dancing galore and classic songs like “Hey There,” “Hernando’s Hideaway,” and “Steam Heat.”

Swept Away

Based on a real-life 1884 shipwreck, a 1974 film of the same name, and the 2004 album Mignonette by The Avett Brothers! A crew of sailors sets out on a whaling expedition, facing long days of work, harsh seas, and strong whiskey. When a storm capsizes their ship, they must rely on courage, resourcefulness, and each other to survive. Swept Away, with a score by The Avett Brothers and a book by Tony winner John Logan (Red, Moulin Rouge! The Musical), is a 90-minute journey of adventure, resilience, and unexpected bonds. Full of heart, grit, and breathtaking moments, this thrilling musical will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Amadeus

The emperor’s composer, Antonio Salieri, holds court until the entrance of flamboyant Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: the vulgar prodigy whose brilliance threatens everything Salieri holds dear. The two artists begin a vicious and thrilling rivalry that will define their lives and their legacies for years to come. Last seen at PTC twenty years ago, this Tony and Oscar-winning masterpiece is a tale of an artist of average talent living in the shadow of a genius all with witty repartee, low comedy, and high drama.

Blithe Spirit

When Charles Condomine invites a medium to his home, he expects a simple séance. Instead, he wakes the spirit of his first wife, Elvira—who refuses to stay gone. Chaos, laughter, and ghostly mischief ensue as Charles struggles to keep his life—and his living wife—intact. Full of wit, surprise, and timeless charm, Blithe Spirit is a sparkling comedy where the past comes back to haunt you… literally.

Eureka Day

The Good Doctor

Neil Simon penned this collection of vignettes based on the short stories of Anton Chekov. With titles like “The Seduction”, “The Sneeze,” and “The Arrangement”  the stories are funny, poignant, and engaging. The play is narrated by a character only known as “The Writer.” Is he Simon? Is he Chekov? Chekov was actually a doctor; Simon was often known as “Doc Simon” because he was frequently a script doctor for plays—not his own-—on their way to Broadway. This is a totally enjoyable, lesser-known play from two very well-known writers. (Note: not to be confused with the recent television series of the same name!)

John Proctor is the Villain

Fueled by earbuds full of pop anthems, sheer determination, and a simmering sense of justice, five teenage girls are ready to confront the buried truths hiding in their small, single-stoplight town. A recent Broadway hit from playwright Kimberly Belflower, this revisionist take on the classic play The Crucible delivers a bold, sharp-witted, and fiercely relevant new work that’s as entertaining as it is essential.

The Little Foxes

A 1939 classic by one of our best American writers, Lillian Hellman. Set in a charming home in the South, Regina Hubbard Giddens fights for wealth, and freedom, in the confines of an early 20th century society where only sons are considered legal heirs. I continue to be amazed at the timeliness of some of these classic plays—80 years after its first production and the themes are still compelling. Of course, who doesn’t enjoy watching a little greed, treachery, and deceit?

Murder on the Links

In this brand-new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 1923 thrilling mystery, famed detective Hercule Poirot whisks himself to the French seaside, after receiving an urgent plea from a stranger, only to arrive a day too late. The stranger in question, Paul Renauld, has been found with a knife in his back at a golf course—a hole in one indeed! Poirot sets out to solve the murder, uncovering a web of deception, hidden identities, and old grudges. Try a swing at cracking the case in one of Agatha Christie’s most intricate whodunits.

Purpose

For decades, the influential Jasper family has been a pillar of Black American Politics: civil rights leaders, pastors and congressmen. But like all families, there are cracks and secrets just under the surface. When the youngest son Nazareth returns home to Illinois with an uninvited friend in tow, the family is forced into a reckoning with itself, its faith and the legacies of Black radicalism. Spirited, hilarious and filled with intrigue, Purpose is an epic family drama – winner of both the Tony Award for Best Play and the 2025 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
